One night, one light

Squeaks and creaks in the turbulent hurricane;
Thundering and crashing in the murky rain.

Piercing shouts and creeping fears;
Violently and vibrantly falling tears.

Drenched in sweat and sinking with each breath;
Choking on the bile with each stomping recoil.

In this chilled and pungent room you supine;
Chattering teeth, hammering heart and whispering prayers sublime.

Anticipation whirling in the pit of your gut,
Tingling for either a snapping glow or a deathly cut.

Panting and staggering through the isolated corridors of fright;
Soaring and dazzling comes a zesty light;
Announcing you’re fine now and it’s all alright!
