I remember you once kissed me on tiptoe
Maybe that’s the reason you couldn’t stand firm and had to let go
We were the same species fully grown
Exhibitng our crown shyness that kept us alone
Now our spectacular display of colours
Comes from our internal cracks
Like magnificent feldspar minerals
Without the literal facts
We no longer make up more than half of each other’s crust
Yet the weight of that sodden blanket is still a lingering trust
Shadows are captives
The world a disease
Pain is a bottomless mine
Where we will find ease
Dust alights even on a still glow of light
Where it glimmers once in a while with pierceful cries
Lovely🥰🥰🌹
