Green Rain, Blue Grass

Reality came first followed by logic
Lying in an abandoned stage now quite tragic

The logic however capable cannot live forever
An unyielding tide also feels it’s terror

You believed in too much and thought too little
You stood for all even when you had no thoughts to fiddle

The ignorance won’t cleanse you
The green rain and blue grass barely might
Don’t extinguish good principles in the dingy, rundown tunnels of the starless night

You say a long life should be filled with unpleasantness to seem long
In that case please barter my length for a short lived song

A Passing Storm painting by James Tissot
