Let’s orchestrate an evening of fun
We do what we want and wait for none
I sprawl on my couch and read a book
You roll on the bed and in your phone you look
We sit through these hours and hardly speak
Occassionally we sneak a peek
I wish you’d tell me to stop
And you wish I’d done the same
But we are here now, stranded in an endless game
The sun burns down and the moon broods
We long to have our day back to be in a pleasant mood
Exhausted by efforts we never took
A lively experience that we could never cook
Let’s orchestrate an eveing of fun
We either talk to each other or speak to none

Sounds like a typical fun night nowadays

Like ships passing in the night. I’m glad my husband and I aren’t like this!
